As a licensed psychologist with 15 years of experience, Peter Gleiberman Jr., Psy.D. (PSY 33347), has provided mental health support and services to a diverse range of clients in the contexts of clinical crisis management, community counseling centers, and private practice treatment. This diverse professional background informs Dr. Gleiberman’s therapeutic approach which is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and proactive skill development. With deep appreciation and empathy for each person’s lived experience and distinct perspective, Dr. Gleiberman works together with each client to address their mental health concerns, optimize their overall wellbeing, and empower them with practical skills to cope with challenges. SPECIALTIES
Having worked with clients ranging from children to adults over his career, Dr. Gleiberman has honed a multifaceted clinical approach that incorporates elements of various evidence-based therapeutic strategies. Blending aspects of psychodynamic work with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence based practices, Dr. Gleiberman cultivates a client-driven, collaborative environment curated to each individual. Rather than prescribing a one-size-fits-all approach or assigning each client the same set of skill-building exercises, Dr. Gleiberman creates a safe environment for clients to explore their thoughts, behaviors, and insights, providing actionable suggestions for overcoming obstacles and progressing on a path of personal growth:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Relationship Issues
- Stress
- High Achievement Stress
- Imposter Syndrome
APPROACH TO THERAPY
By tailoring sessions to fit each client’s unique needs and preferences, Dr. Gleiberman creates sessions that are comprehensive, individualized, and considerate of all specific circumstances relevant to an individual’s goals. Despite the common cultural narrative that depicts therapy as a crisis response, Dr. Gleiberman also considers therapeutic work to be an essential preventative health tool that equips individuals with critical coping skills. By offering a judgment-free outlet for self-exploration, along with informed and constructive feedback, Dr. Gleiberman supports clients in addressing a variety of common but challenging emotions, thought patterns, and behaviors.
While Dr. Gleiberman has extensive experience helping clients navigate a variety of diagnosable mental health conditions, he routinely and enthusiastically seeks ways to support individuals traversing everyday stressors, obstacles, and setbacks. Dr. Gleiberman works with everyone from adolescents navigating academic and social issues, clients that thrive in high pressure environments ranging from start-up tech leadership, and stay-at-home parents raising children in the unique stress of our current time. Dr. Gleiberman provides guidance for those dealing with difficult family dynamics, relationship issues, and commonplace complications of modern life.
